About Khooneh

More than a community. A place that feels like home.

Khooneh (خونه) means “home” in Persian. We built this as a digital home for the Iranian community across New York and New Jersey — somewhere genuine friendships, culture, and everyday support live together, the way they would in a real house full of people who care about each other.

Home is where you find your people.

The entrance welcomes.

Anyone can look in from the doorway — you don't need an invitation to see what Khooneh is about.

The courtyard gathers.

Events and general chat bring everyone together in one shared space.

Rooms support different interests.

From ZoorKhooneh's fitness crowd to KetabKhooneh's readers, there's a room for what you care about.

Doors communicate privacy and access.

Some rooms are open the moment you arrive. A few ask you to knock first — that's by design, not by accident.

Paths help people discover where they belong.

Interests, groups, and events are how members find their people, not algorithms or feeds.

The house always leads back to the community.

Whatever room you're in, you're still home.

See it for yourself

Scroll through the house.

A short, scroll-guided walk through Khooneh's rooms — meet the groups as you go, one doorway at a time.
