Community Guidelines
Last updated July 2026
Khooneh exists because our community showed up for each other — at events, in the directory, and through jobs and referrals. These guidelines keep that trust intact.
Be genuinely who you say you are
Use your real name and photo where possible. Misrepresenting your identity, profession, or credentials is grounds for suspension.
Treat gatherings like you're a guest in someone's home
- RSVP honestly, and cancel promptly if your plans change — someone on the waitlist is counting on it.
- Respect organizers' venues, house rules, and the people around you.
- Harassment, discrimination, or unsafe behavior at any Khooneh event will result in removal from the platform.
Keep the directory and jobs board honest
- Only list services, credentials, or job opportunities you can honestly stand behind.
- Job posts must comply with equal-opportunity and anti-discrimination laws.
- Referrals are a courtesy — don't pressure members who decline to make an introduction.
- Room listings and roommate requests must be accurate — misrepresenting a space, rent, or availability is grounds for removal.
No political or religious affiliation
Khooneh is a cultural and community space, not a political or religious organization. We ask members to keep political and religious advocacy out of official Khooneh spaces so everyone feels welcome.
Reporting concerns
If something feels off, use the Report button on any profile, listing, or event, or reach out through our Safety & Reporting page. Reports are reviewed by our admin team and kept confidential.
